Introduction
Sensory Bins
By: The Rainbow Tree
Sensory bins are ALWAYS a winner with Little Feet. What is so great about them is that they can be used and played with by so many ages children. From toddlers to preschoolers the way they play with them evolves and it has been a pleasure to watch both my daughters evolve from experimenting, to role playing with them, to just enjoying the sensations on their skin.

The joy of using fruit is that it makes it a brilliant activity for younger children as they can experiment with flavours and you the parent can relax about whether or not they can put them in their mouths. Edible is best!
What you will need:
-
A tub/sink/bath
-
Water
-
Knife

Step 1
Fill a tub/sink/bath up with water. If it is a hot day make the water cold as it is a great contrast to the heat.
Step 2
Slice up your lemons, oranges, limes and grapefruits into thin and thick slices.
Step 3
Chuck them in the water and add some scoops/ play kitchen items so to encourage them to role play and experiment.
